The mission team statement is:  “To broaden the missional life of our church, both locally and globally, through increased awareness, education and service opportunities that connect with the work of God in the world.”  I have been compiling from many of you information regarding mission work done during 2012 so I could report to the congregation the many different types of missions the members of Peace Haven Baptist Church have done.  Missions encompass much more than just the monetary support that we have provided to our mission partners during the year.  What better way can we ‘serve’ as stated in our church mission statement than to respond to opportunities to help those in need.  Here is a list of the many ways our church has ‘done missions’ in 2012:

Participated with the Baptist Build of a Habitat House - partnering with North Winston Baptist Church  we provided volunteer labor and food for those that were working on the project

Provided items to the Mineral Springs Elementary Store for the children to shop with points they had earned for academic success and good behavior
