10:00 AMSunday School

Sunday School at Peace Haven is about formation in Jesus Christ - becoming disciples whose lives are shaped by God's story.  There are three small group options for adults, one small group for collegiates, and age appropriate opportunities for preschoolers, children (grades 1-3), juniors (grades 4-6), youth (grades 7-12).

11:00 AMSunday Morning Worship

At Peace Haven, the worship of God in Christ is our central focus.  We follow the Christian calendar and therefore celebrate such seasons as Advent, Epiphany, Lent, Easter, and Pentecost.  These special seasons and days help us remember and embrace the story of God’s reconciling presence in Jesus Christ.  Worship is the primary way we express our devotion and dedication to Jesus but it also informs and inspires how we live out our faith in many other ways at Peace Haven and within the community.

Our worship will normally begin with the Chimes of the Trinity.  The threefold chime signifies that this time and space is dedicated to the adoration and praise of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit – the one true God who is our Creator, Redeemer, Sustainer, Judge, and Hope.  The chime calls us to worship the Lord and listen for the voice of our God.  The Light, Cross and Open Bible are also important symbols in worship.  The Light symbolizes the presence of God – who is above all, and through all, and in all.  The Cross calls us to celebrate, experience, and pursue the fullness of God’s presence through the life, death, and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.  The Open Bible symbolizes our belief in the presence of God through the proclaimed word, the priesthood of all believers, and the responsibility of all believers to interpret the scriptures by the Holy Spirit and under the Lordship of Jesus Christ.

The door of Peace Haven Baptist Church is open to all who, by repentance and faith, will embrace Jesus Christ as Lord and desire to live out their faith in covenant with us.  Worship services conclude with various opportunities to respond, as well as make and express commitments.

The Lord's Supper is celebrated on the first Sunday of each month.

6:00 PMFellowship Meal
Our Wednesday night meal (September - May) is an occasion for community building.  The meal is prepared by volunteers and we share a potluck dinner one Wednesday night each month.  This is an excellent opportunity to experience the life of Peace Haven Baptist Church and we welcome you to join us for dinner.

6:45 PMPrograms for All Ages

Following the fellowship meal on Wednesday nights, disciple formation continues with opportunities for all ages from 6:45 pm - 7:30 pm (September - May).

Adults follow a course of short term bible, topical, or seasonally oriented studies.  These sessions are designed to deepen our knowledge, broaden our perspective, and sharpen our practice of following Jesus.

Children's ministry is centered on the foundational stories of the Bible and missions. Our aim is to connect children with the central narrative of scripture - God's love for all creation and the invitation to participate in God's good work.

Among youth (grades 7-12), disciple formation follows a path of building community and exploring, in a variety of ways and settings, the challenge of living as a follower of Jesus.  Teenagers are asking questions and making decisions that will shape the course of their lives.  Our aim is to gain the right to listen, earn the privilege of speaking, and become a trusted companion on their journey.

7:30 PMChoir Rehearsal
The choir sings an anthem every Sunday during worship and uses this time on Wednesday nights to prepare.  If you love to sing, we would love for you to join us. Contact LeAnn Steele, Choir Master, for more information.
